It's June 11th and we are here at the Bird planning our Summer. Here is a list of what to look for at your favorite shop:

June 13- this Saturday!-1-3pm. We have a FREE paper model demo for those of you who want to try their hand at creating some 3-D art. (see previous post for a picture of the dino that you can make)
June 14th Vintage Auto Show on the Avenue. Come by the area of Oak park Ave & Lake St. to check out some fine old autos from the Illinois St. Andrew Society Scottish Motor Club. For more info about them go to chicago-scotts.org
July 24-26 Come by the shop for the yearly Summer Sidewalk Sale. We are starting to plan this super-savings event. It is going to be great- so pencil us in for that weekend.

Make sure to check your email periodically for special coupons from the Bird- another one is bound to be sent out soon. And, if you're not on our email list yet, make it your job to sign up! Stop by Fly Bird on Saturday, June 13th from 1-3pm for a Free papercraft event. Kevin Crowell- the man behind Monkey Design USA- will be in the shop to show us how to turn these great postcards into an amazing models. All you need to bring is a sense of adventure- we will provide the rest. Don't miss this family friendly event!

CONSTRUCTOR, the best Craft Fair this side of the Mississippi, will be back in action this Sunday, May 24th from 10-6pm. Don't miss out on the fun! This ONE DAY ONLY event is sure to knock you flat with the design-friendly goods that will make you the best gift-giver your friends have.

The event will be held at Fitzgerald's in Berwyn and will be a family friendly affair- so throw your kids on their bikes and ride on over.

Spinning from the joy of 5! well-lived years as a fun fun place to shop... Come join us for our super special birthday party this Friday, May 8th from 6-9pm. Don't forget about Nerfect! This Saturday, April 25th from 7-10pm. You will cry and cry if you miss Straight Out Of Berwyn. Just one glimpse of this fabulous art will secure your "coolest kid on the block" standings. Mr. Walters- himself- will be here to preside over this fantastic event. I am thinking that it may just be my favorite Bird event to date... will it be yours? Yes- I do belive it will.

Hello Friends...

Another lovely Sunday and I am sitting here writing to all of you good people. J has been on Spring Break all week- tanning and doing body shots no doubt, and I have been here diligently working my fingers to the bone in preparation of the coming months of fabulous FB events. I will mention them again- for the sake of keeping you folks in the know.

NERFECT art opening 4/25, 7-10pm. if you can't make it that night, don't despair. The show will be up for a solid month. This is going to be too much fun to miss!

A recent addition to the lineup is EDGY PETAL. We have a trunk show with this talented artist on May 9th. She has some beautiful new rings that she will be bringing into the shop- and so much more...

Back in town after much love last year CONSTRUCTOR CRAFT FAIR will be hitting up Fitzgerald's on 5/24, from 10-6pm. If you were there last year, you know how rad it was. Be there this year and amaze your friends with some of the bestest gift getting- outside of the Bird, of course.

It is a cold(ish) windy Saturday here in Chicagoland. We are waiting for Spring-and knowing that it is a bit of a way off. I'm sure Chicago has another good snow up its sleeve. Which is nice.

I am writing with excitement because the art event of the decade is coming up and will be held here in our little out of the way shop. Mr. Man -Britton Walters- will be here on April 25th to kick start our newest art show and regale us with tales of bravery and woe from his well lived life. Check out the invite below and make sure to bring your butt to the shop. It is going to be so great!
